The earthquake of November 2019 shook the country to the core and left devastating consequences for the people of the affected areas leaving hundreds of people homeless and hungry during the winter months. There was an immediate need for help and intervention therefore, PROGRESS Foundation undertook a fundraising campaign with Albanians located in Italy and Albania. The main objective and purpose of this initiative was the urgent housing of families in need in the most affected areas by the earthquake. PROGRESS Foundation was able to provide housing for 20 families in the areas of Thumane, Tirane, Bubq, Peze, and Manez by building new homes for them.
